What a week!

Nan in Rochester, New York with Ben, Celeste, Seth and Noah.

We visited the Palmyra temple, the Lollipop Farm, a nature center and playground, the Seneca Zoo and Rochester Planetarium, celebrated Celeste's birthday, watched Seth become Builder Bob and Noah be the smiliest happy baby alive, went running on local trails, watched Fiddler on the Roof, had many great and inspiring talks, and watched Ben rehearse for his role as bass soloist in their stake's upcoming production of the Messiah.

They are such great  hosts, and I LOVE being with their wonderful family!!

Meanwhile, Rob spent the week in Guam working on the very same airport he helped design 20 years ago.

What a life!

The very day Rob returned , we went to the baptism of Joy and Pona Woldblack. Joy is twin sister to Joyce, Adrienne's grandma.  The Gallis have been involved as friends of the Wolfblack/Mills family for many years also and were at the baptism as well.  Despite the hour long delay at the start, the baptism went well and represents the kind of miracles we have seen in their lives of late.  It is a blessing to be associated with their wonderful family.  Micah and Rob performed the ordinances.

January Gray

I was just sure you all wanted a weather update from SLC :)

So this is a look at the inversion air of last week,
in the middle of the afternoon driving down 33rd.
Feel and smell the cold, moist bad air...
The freezing rain looked pretty much the same (this is still yucky air,
as viewed driving down our street).  We gained a new appreciation for truly dangerous driving!
We are grateful our latest storms have "scrubbed" the air clean.
We've received another 15" in the past few days!

But, sadly, the storms keep coming down from the north,
dumping mainly in the valleys.
Which means the snow pack in the mountains is still -
believe it or not, below average.

Sending our love, and looking for signs of spring in good ol' SLC!

Better Than Inversion!

 16 inches of fresh snow
 And no sign of stopping
It's going to be a great day!

Christmas Memories 2012

Mixed chorus performance
 Evergreen's performance of White Christmas
(Does anyone else think Joseph looks like Uncle Neil at this age?)
Joseph had the staring role of, Mr. Snoring Man!
(Sorry for the blur. No flash photography was allowed.)

Isn't he cute!  Wish you could hear him sing...

Look who came to dinner!  It was good to see Adrienne and her family.

Skiing, sledding, snowshoeing!

Cleo's smart hoodie to cover her ouwie.  She's feeling much better now.
 Our Christmas Eve dinner guests

 Cherished Peruvian hats
and socks from Sharon
Does this picture of Davie somehow remind you of Jacob?

 St George!
Sorry we don't have pictures of Grandma and Grandpa...

Who is that handsome man?
(And how did he find a Japanese family in Snow Canyon?)
 (After watching Les Mis)
Happy New Year to you all!  We love you!!
